Italian Wax

Italian Wax from Pure & Original is a finishing treatment that can be used on top of all wall paints from Pure & Original and other matt painted surfaces. In addition to providing increased durability, the wax also affects the underlying color so it gets more depth. The changes in color will therefore appear more clearly in resp. fresco and Marrakesh. If you polish the wax, you get a beautiful, smooth and shiny surface that is water-repellent. The wax is applied with a brush in 1-2 thin layers.

The wax is water-repellent after 2 layers. The wax will appear dull without polishing. It is recommended that you let the underlying paint dry for at least 7-10 days before you start working on the wax. The wax can withstand up to 60 degrees heat exposure, but is not recommended behind a stove or similar heat source.

Application

The wax is applied in circular motions with a soft sponge or cloth in 1-2 thin layers.

Pretreatment

Painted surfaces must be thoroughly hardened and must also be clean and free of dirt or grime.

Drying time

Dust dry after 1 hour, polishable after 4 hours. 2 coats can be applied after 12 hours.

Cleaning

Utensils are cleaned in a little soap and plenty of water.
